The EMPI Dune Buggy Rodeo is a high-energy, one-day event bringing together EMPI dealers and air-cooled enthusiasts for a full day of performance competition and off-road excitement. The Rodeo challenges participants across three discipliness: timed course runs, chassis dyno performance, and judged vehicle evaluation.

Competitors complete three full laps on a closed, unpaved 3-mile course, with their best lap time recorded. Each participant also receives three chassis dyno pulls, with the highest combined horsepower and torque from a single run added to their score card. A panel of judges will evaluate each buggy’s build quality and presentation, contributing additional points.

Vehicles compete in three classes:
• Under 2000cc – minimal modifications
• Race Prepped – performance-focused builds
• Exhibition – any buggy-bodied build on a VW or custom chassis, including LS or Subaru engine swaps

Winners earn a custom EMPI Dune Buggy Rodeo belt buckle and EMPI gift certificates!
